We’re going to be celebrating the lives and music of Jerry Garcia and J.J. Cale by including some of their songs in our sets tomorrow night at the Waterfront Hotel Bar in Fells Point.  Today is Jerry’s birthday, and while he is gone, his music still remains with us, and it is a big influence on Dropping Sully.  J.J. Cale passed away recently, and his songwriting touched a lot of people (including Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Waylon Jennings all of whom covered his tunes).  We’ve been playing Cale’s ‘Lies’ at our live shows for a few years now, and it is always a fun time for us and the crowd.
